The 2008 Preliminary Assessed Values are now posted on the Property Appraiser's website. I have reviewed hundreds of 2008 Proposed Assessed values as compared to the 2007 Assessed Values and it appears our Property Appraiser and his staff has done a very good job adjusting values to reflect the market conditions as of January 1, 2008.
Some examples of reductions in Assessed Values from 2007 to 2008 include these three properties in
Naples Park: 2007 was $305,630, 2008 is $194,400, 2007 was $334,529, 2008 is $213,574, 2007 was $348,944, 2008 $224,516.
Although most areas have seen substantial decreases in Assessed Values, not all areas have.

*This property was worth this a one point in time, but this is just one example as to where values have gone in SW Florida and to bring light to the fact that it is time to seriously pay attention to your property's value.
